The Fayette County Recorder of Deeds is committed to making its public website and services usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice input, or screen magnification.
Accessibility standard
Our accessibility goal is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We review and improve the accessibility of website content, navigation, forms, and downloadable documents. Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility; this statement does not constitute a claim that every current or future item conforms to every WCAG success criterion.
Accessibility testing and improvements
Our accessibility work has included automated checks, manual keyboard and form testing, mobile and zoom/reflow testing, and reviews of PDFs. The mobile, zoom, and PDF reviews completed as part of our current remediation project passed. We will continue to review new and changed content and respond to accessibility issues that are reported.
Downloadable documents
Documents included in our completed accessibility remediation review passed their checks. If you have difficulty accessing any document, including an older record or a newly posted file, contact our office and identify the page or document. We will help you obtain the information in an accessible format.
Links to external services
Some pages link to services operated by other organizations, including the Pennsylvania Recorder of Deeds Association fee calculator. We cannot control those websites. If an external service is inaccessible to you, our fee schedule and office staff can help you obtain recording fee information.
